The Vuldehungen were a human tribe, who lived along the river Vulde.
The Vuldehungen nurtured a strong warrior culture. They loved to raid and fight, both men and women. It was common to drink from the skulls of defeated enemies and to sacrifice their hearts.
It is unknown when the Vuldehungen arrived in Asthafar, but it is possible they were not taken there by the Dolochô, but instead made the journey from Ferron and settled along the river Vulde some time before. It is however certain, that they fell under Dolochô influence and were enslaved at some point, until they gained their independence after their fall.
Their strong bodies and battle-spirited nature made them close allies to the Orcs and Goblins. They expanded southwards, conquering neighbouring human tribes and even raiding into elvish territory.
During the Goblin-Wars from 278-280 EC they fought against the Elves and their dwarvish allies, taking heavy losses.
They outlived the Goblins, but they were weakened greatly and lost their southern territories to the First Elven Empire. Vuldehungen raids stopped till 288 EC, a time during which they gradually lost more of their southern lands.
In 289 EC Wartigorn, chief of the Vuldehungen, lead an army south to reclaim the lost lands. Serala, Empress of the Elves, met them in battle near Uldengraf and defeated them utterly. In the aftermath the Elves annexed the lands up to the river Vulde. The surviving Vuldehungen were either enslaved or fled north to the Orcs where they vanished over years.
It is said that some of the Noratanii are descendants of the Vuldehungen.
