The Dwarves of Uthramor are skilled negotiators and tradesmen, for their city lies on the southern end of the Ironrock-Mountains. For many hundred years they traded with Elves and Men. They are also known for their great brewery.
Unlike other Dwarves, the Dwarves of Uthramor burry their dead not in the deepest catacombs of their home, but instead in the Hills of Zuul, which stretch out from Throrak's Halls in the west to Zul'Drak in the east and the river Sare to the south.
In these hills they built their Hill-Graves, their "Zatol-Ubrek", which are dome-like in nature and overgrown with grass and plants. The white Uthramor Grave Flower can be found upon them. It is not unusual for a family to have their dedicated family Grave-Hill. Their entrances are sealed and protected by charm, tho they are not always enough to protect from Ogres and Grave-Robbers.
This lead to the founding of the Ubrek-Thamor, the "Grave-Guard". It is their job to protect the graves and to maintain them. However some ancient graves have gotten lost over time. The priests of the Ubrek-Thamor are the ones casting the charms and sealing the Grave-Hills. They also embalm the corpses and speak the words of sorrow.
The city of Uthramor was founded some time before the year 100 EC.
King Gondrin I. of Uthramor fought in the Goblin-Wars of 278-280 EC on the side of the Elves.
King Gondrin II. ruled from 560-670 EC.
King Grodin (1044-1305 EC) establishd the Ubrek-Thamor in 1096 EC.
King Dwôr refused to help during the early stages of the Great War, even refusing to aid Thorak's Halls in 2543 EC. He was killed during the Siege of Uthramor in 2567 EC.
His successor, King Bradin Battle-Hammer, broke the siege with the aid of Zul'Drak. His battle-spirit would lead Uthramor through the Great War, his battle-hammer smashing countless Orcs on the battlefield, even when his hair turned grey. He died in 2993 EC due to old age.
His son Uthrôr II. succeeded him.
